Special Event Ambulance

Rural/Metro is known throughout the South for our ability to coordinate multiple large-scale events where specialized ambulance services are needed.

Our ambulance standby services are provided under long-term contracts with large sporting events, including the University of Tennessee's Neyland Stadium and Thompson Bowling Arena for exclusive EMS special-event coverage.  Our customers have also included the PGA Championships in Atlanta, Georgia; the NASCAR Busch Series in Tunica, Mississippi; the NHRA Midsouth Nationals and the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in Memphis, Tennessee. 

We also contract for EMS standby services to a variety of one-day or multi-day events, including:

• State Fairs
• Concerts
• Block Parties
• Marathons
• Golf Tournaments
• Cycling Events

In addition to ambulances and personnel fully equipped and certified to respond to any type of medical emergency, in select locations Rural/Metro can provide emergency crews on bicycles for large-scale public events where rapid access to patients can be challenging due to over-crowding.
